Resident Services

Our Community Coordinator has developed a great relationship with local residents. She is able to help them move ahead in their lives by offering services including help with navigating government departments, filling out paperwork, referrals to different services, resumes etc.

We assist residents with providing educational sessions including health, safety, parenting etc.

Resident Engagement

Half of Board must be residents to ensure resident voices are heard

Residents have gained new skills and are now leading teams and writing proposals

Residents are self-organizing around their issues, for example a new women's group, and community clean-up

ONE Change provides many community service opportunities for all ages


Community Pride

A vital Celebrations Team made up of community members plan family-friendly events all year

ONE residents produced a yearly calendar with local pictures

Old North End Days– A week-long celebration of all things ONE

Community clean-ups and beautification



Active Housing Team working on issues of derelict and vacant buildings, promoting new builds, and other related issues .

Operate ONE LIFE, a housing program for homeless youth wanting to finish their education

Built ONE HOME, a rent to own building in the neighbourhood



ONE has a Health Team working to bring needed health services to the community

ONE hosts a weekly health clinic provided by St. Joe’s Community Health Centre

Host a monthly foot care clinic provided by VON

Operate a Food Purchasing Club


Employment Readiness

The ONE Digital Learning Centre in partnership with SJK Adult Learning Inc. is located in Lorne School. Computer training, and resume writing etc. are provided.

ONE Build program that offers  youth a chance to learn trades while renovating housing units



ONE Change works closely with the Saint John Police Community Policing on crime reduction initiatives.

Police and community have worked together on projects like graffiti removal, bike rodeos and pill deposit sites.

ONE Change led to successful campaign to retain the SCAN program in NB.
